Brené Brown Workshops

Last summer I had the amazing privilege of training with Brené Brown and her team in Texas to become a Daring Way™ facilitator. I’m now wrapping up this training (CDWF Candidate) and am absolutely delighted to be able to offer workshops in the spring of 2020.

Most of us want to grow, learn and live more satisfied, contented lives where we can be ourselves, both express and receive love and know how to handle life challenges. Life can be hard and figuring out how to live it without getting stuck in unhelpful and destructive patterns can be overwhelming.

These workshops will help you understand HOW you can grow in knowing and understanding yourself, your story and connecting with others. The workshops, based on Brené Browns research, are interactive, experiential and educational. We will dig deeper into Brené Browns work and learn you’ll how you can integrate this into your life and relationships – and most importantly in your relationship with yourself. We’ll be using a combination of personal exercises, reflection, conversation and have access to exclusive videos of Brené Brown talking to us.

Doing this work is transformative. As a facilitator I have done, and continue practicing the work. It’s challenging, but so incredibly healing and freeing. These workshops will help you show up in your life with more:

  • self and other awareness
  • honesty and openness
  • being able to express yourself more clearly
  • ownership of yourself and less responsibility for others
  • intention
  • curiosity
  • self kindness and self support
  • respect and empathy
  • resiliency
  • authenticity

Workshops are currently for women only have limited places available so that we create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. You don’t have to have ANY knowledge of Brené Browns work before you do a workshop – you can jump right in! If you do want to familiarize yourself with her work, you can find her on Netflix and YouTube. You can also find her books (both paper and audio) at your local library or bookstore.

This offers a new perspective on the way we love, lead, parent, work and educate that teaches us about the power of vulnerability. Every day we experience uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure; it’s simply unavoidable. This workshop helps us understand vulnerability (and dispel some myths) and how it affects our everyday lives. We’ll explore how we can develop the tools to support us growing the courage to show up, be seen and to ask for what we need.

Rising Strong™
is based on the simple physics of vulnerability: “If we are brave enough, often enough, we WILL fall. When we take risks in our lives we will inevitably fall and experience disappointments, hurts, failures and heartbreak.” Brené Brown

Rising Strong™ is a research based program about what it takes for us to get back up, live a more wholehearted and satisfying life, rise strong through the challenges of life and how owning our stories of struggle, rather than them defining us, gives us the power and possibilities to write daring new endings. In this workshop we will explore how to live more courageously by showing up in areas of your life and relationships so you that you can live more fully in your authenticity. We’ll explore how to cultivate curiosity, develop self support strategies for rumbling with our uncomfortable emotions including shame .

It’s a lifetime journey of learning how to embrace and love ourselves in our vulnerabilities, imperfections, failures and reconcile this with the truth that we are enough as we are. “Whole hearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating courage, compassion and connection to wake up in the morning and think, “No matter what gets done and how much gets left undone, I am enough”. Its going to bed at night thinking “Yes I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid but that doesn’t changes the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging”

This workshop looks at how we can grow in this – so that we can live and love a more wholehearted life. We’ll dig deep into how we do this, what obstacles we encounter, exploring some of the 10 guideposts that Brené Brown gives us to support us on our journeys.

“It’s in the process of embracing our imperfections that we find our truest gifts: courage, compassion and connection”
Brené Brown
